SOLAR POWER GENERATION

Solar Power & Renewable Energy

Wichy’s solar power system generates 450 kVA and powers 75% of operational energy needs, delivering an annual saving of 908 MT and a tree-equivalent impact of 15,024. This reflects a measurable transition toward cleaner energy across plantation operations.

WATER TREATMENT & REUSE

Water Treatment & Recycling

Through its wastewater treatment plant, 43 Mn litres of water per year are recharged to the soil, while treated water is also reused for irrigation. This supports more responsible water stewardship and stronger long-term resource efficiency across operations.

FSC CERTIFIED PACKAGING

FSC Certified Packaging

Wichy uses FSC certified packaging as part of a more responsible approach to material sourcing and packaging stewardship. This supports stronger traceability, better packaging standards and a more sustainable product journey from source to shelf.

FOSSIL FUEL TO BIOMASS

Biomass Energy Transition

The conversion from fossil fuel to biomass for boiler energy has eliminated the use of 5,000 litres of diesel per day. This marks a meaningful reduction in conventional fuel dependence while strengthening cleaner energy use within manufacturing operations.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PACKAGING

Lower-Impact Packaging

Wichy’s packaging platform is built around lower-impact material choices, including BPA-free formats, renewable resource content and FSC-certified packaging. It reflects a stronger commitment to reducing packaging-related environmental impact while supporting more responsible material use across the value chain.

PACKAGING EFFICIENCY

Efficient Logistics & Shelf Use

The packaging systems used within the Plantation Cluster are designed to improve transport efficiency, reduce shipped air and use warehouse space more effectively. This supports a more resource-conscious value chain while improving practical efficiency from factory to market.

ECO LABEL CERTIFICATION RECEIVED

Eco Label Certified Products

Megakem’s in-house waterproofing chemicals carry the Eco Label Certification from NCPC, reinforcing the Group’s commitment to manufacturing environmentally friendly products for the built environment. This reflects a stronger focus on responsible product development, sustainability and long-term environmental consideration across Megakem’s construction chemicals portfolio.

CIRCULAR MANUFACTURING

Circular Manufacturing

Across the Plantation Cluster, circular manufacturing supports value addition and the reduction of avoidable waste. By converting natural raw materials and by-products into higher-value applications, the Group strengthens more resource-efficient production practices.

SOCIAL

Investing in people.
Empowering communities.

From long-term educational support to technician development, farmer value creation and community-led initiatives, Wardena measures progress not only by business growth, but by the opportunities, livelihoods and support it helps create across the communities it serves.
